Kari, a devoted mother of two teenage daughters, has called North County San Diego home for 20 years. Her passion for supporting seniors began at a young age. In 1989, at just 13 years old, she began working alongside her mother, a nurse, at a family practice office in Northern California. What started as an after-school role evolved into a 15-year career in the medical field, where she gained extensive experience in patient care, administrative support, and healthcare operations. This early immersion in a clinical setting fostered a strong sense of compassion and professionalism, particularly in caring for elderly and chronically ill patients.
Kari returned to the workforce in 2019 after a 14-year hiatus as a stay-at-home mom. Seeking both flexibility and purpose, she earned her real estate license and soon became a Certified Senior Real Estate Specialist.
In 2023, Kari expanded her experience in senior care by working as a caregiver, supporting several clients and their families as they navigated the challenges of aging in place.
As more seniors choose to remain in their homes—a decision she wholeheartedly supports—Kari was inspired to take the next step. In 2025, she founded Community Senior Concierge to provide personalized support services to seniors in neighboring communities, allowing her to continue pursuing her deep passion for serving this population.
My grandfather, “Gramps,” was a cherished part of my life for 46 years, shaping my childhood and beyond.
As a child I spent most weekends at my grandparents' house. I loved puttering around the garden with him and if he wasn’t there he was usually in the kitchen cooking delicious food. Our Thursday Bingo nights were my favorite, as well as relaxing on the couch, watching Judge Judy and helping him with his crossword puzzles, well into his 90’s. I was by his side when he left this earth in 2022, at the age of 96. I know in my heart that he waited for me to get there. Although I was heartbroken, I was also incredibly grateful for his unconditional love and the moments we shared throughout all that time.
